I was reminded recently that a lot of bass players struggle to come up with a satisfying practice routine. It’s no surprise then that many people don’t have an awesome practice experience on the bass! Many students I encounter tend to approach their practice time in a less structured way. This unfocused type of practice just doesn’t work, it produces a lack of clarity and no feeling of progress.
